Mr. Southworth has accumulated sound experience in development, implementation and evaluation of investment operations in the fields of agriculture and rural development.
He is a co-founder of the McLain Association for Children (MAC). Before joining MAC, he was the country manager for The World Bank office in Georgia, with about 30 years of working experience with the Bank in Africa, Europe, and Asia. Before coming to Georgia, Mr. Southworth has completed field assignments in Tanzania and Croatia.
He attended Stanford University and attained a PhD from the Food Research Institute, and also holds a BA in Economics from Washington State University.
